PRESS ROOM

When you are trying to do useful work and have a positive impact on people’s lives being talked about is a good thing.

Our public relations outreach is relies primarily on our community of viewers and fans, good old-fashioned word of mouth.  If you like what we are doing, tell us and two more people.

We would like to thank Google for our Google Grant and acceptance into the Google NonProfit program. Girl Museum is also a Flip Video Spotlight partner.

Check out Girl Museums's iReport promoting our 'Girl for Sale' exhibition as a part of the CNN's Freedom Project. It can also be seen on our YouTube Channel.

Special thanks to Dr. Michelle J Smith and her write up about Girl Museum on her Girls’ Literature and Culture website. We look very forward to our launch of the 'Home & Away: Girls of the British Empire' exhibition in Melbourne on June 13th at the Colonial Girls Conference.

A big thank you to the Asia New Foundation for their assistance with the 'Hina Matsuri/Girls' Day' exhibition. Also to the New Zealand Japan Exchange Programme for their generous grant towards the exhibition as well. Read more about Ashley's research in Japan.

Great feedback from Ed, who says, "Cool. That's my first visit to an online museum exhibition. My feet don't hurt at all!" Glad you enjoyed your visit!

Check out the great interview article about Girl Museum with Jacquelyn over at Finding Five.

Also check out Sarah M. Grimes' blog, Gamine Expedition. She wrote about us on February 8th, 2010.

Girl Museum would like to send a shout out to the Hippodrome State Theatre and the HITT (Hippodrome Improvisational Teen Theatre) program. We are excited that the HITT team is contributing to an upcoming GirlSpeak exhibition on ‘Play’- check it out!

Please visit the HITT website to read about their amazing work.  If you would like more information, contact Marcia Brown.
