Maya Penn presenting at TEDWomen in 2013.

Do you love TED Talks? So do I. Today’s post is a continuation of our Girls of TED Talks series, which focuses on young girls who have presented at TED events around the world with their inspiring ideas.

Maya Penn is an entrepreneur, cartoonist, designer, and activist . . . and she’s only 16. She started her first company at the age of 8. Her company, Maya’s Ideas, has grown into an eco-friendly clothing and accessories line whose designs are sold all over the world. 10-20% of all her profits go to local and global causes. In 2013, she took the stage at TEDWomen to share her story, which shows how all of us – no matter how small – can make a difference.
