We’re pleased to share another video from the amazing girls of GlobalGirl Media. From the GlobalGirls in Kosovo, this video looks at the long-lasting stigma¬†of sexual¬†assault on women who were raped during the Kosovo War. Artist Alketa Xhafa-Mripa created an installation of 5,000 skirts and dresses to be hung in a stadium, symbolizing the purity of the women.
GlobalGirl Media, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to empowering high school age girls from under-served communities around the world through media, leadership and journalistic training to have a voice in the global media universe and their own futures.
GlobalGirl Media invests in girls to become their own agents of change in bridging the gender digital divide, providing concrete skills with which to improve their personal situations.
