April 22nd, 2017 marks the 47th year of Earth Day. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day brought together people from all walks of life: Republicans and Democrats, rich and poor, students and blue collar workers to fight for the environment. By the end of 1970, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) had been formed.
Once again, our environment is threat. With deregulations, the gutting of the EPA both financial and personnel and denials of climate science at the highest levels, it’s more important than ever to work to protect the planet. So today, and every day, please think about what you can do to help protect and heal our only home.
