Hello! My name is Caroline and I am a social media intern! I am a rising senior at Wellesley College, majoring in Political Science and History but have a strong background in museum work through my previous positions at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas and the Davis Museum at Wellesley College.

Outside of museums and class, I spend a lot of time with my friends and watch a lot of movies. One of my favorite jobs I have ever had was when I worked at an independent movie theater for a summer. I made amazing friends and got to meet a few celebrities.

I have several dream jobs, ranging from museum work to political work, but I will settle on one, and that is to be a Saturday Night Live writer. I do not have the qualifications, but I feel like it is something I would be good at. My sister and I have created an elaborate ranking system for SNL episodes and sketches, and at this point, I would consider myself an expert on the series.

My favorite museum is the Davis Museum at Wellesley College. I have been working there for almost 3 years now in several different capacities. My favorite position is serving as a Co-Coordinator for the student advisory committee, where we interact with the staff, the visitors, and the campus. The Davis is my favorite museum because it is housed by a historically women’s college and incorporates this history into its exhibitions, projects, and presence.

One of the biggest issues facing girls is access to and respect in education. Far too often girls are faced with discriminatory education systems or biased teachings that limit their growth in academics. I am fortunate to attend a historically women’s college where I have experienced first hand the impact of education that focuses on uplifting the voices of women and those who are not often heard and I can only imagine the magnanimity of this experience if pre-college education is inclusive of more girls.

I am so excited to get started!
