Girls are rising up and demanding their rights all over the world. The cries of girls in the streets of Tehran are just as defeating as those in Ukraine, Yemen, and more. The list of places where girls are in crisis goes on and on. This is the 10th anniversary of the United Nations’ establishment of October 11 at the International Day of the Girl Child. We reflect on the status of girls ten years later, after a global pandemic, increased conflict, climate crises, and refugees.
