Hey hey hey everybody!

Hope that you all had a relaxing holiday and feel rejuvenated to take on this new year.

While we feel excited to get back into the work, things are likely going to be, let’s say, unpredictable.

All the signs point to a really challenging year, not that we shouldn’t expect anything less since COVID times.

With all the wars, conflicts, famines, and other human crises around the planet, we are going to try to do what we can as a museum, as a virtual museum, to try to consider and reflect on our times. But importantly, for us as a museum, we look to the past to consider the how’s and why’s of where we are today.

For girls, this is really important because they ways things are today in most places are ot the way they have always been, so they can change.

The time when we could be chill and think we can cruise along is gone, there will always be a fight to take on and a challenge to stand up to.

We wish everyone the strength and knowledge to know what they can do for themselves, their families, communities, and the world.

And even though we are online, we encourage everyone to take time outside without technology to remember their girlhoods, the freedom from judgement and embrace that joy, even if only for a few minutes a day.

Kia kaha/Stay strong!
